Psychological Effects of Subfertility on Women

Background: Out of all the human beings present 20% are infertile. The 10-15 couple experience difficulties in conceiving. Study design: It is a cross-sectional study with statistical approach, conducted at Department Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Indus Hospital Jubliee Town, Lahore. Objective: aimed to psychological effects subfertility on women. Material Methods: was 80 female patients under treatment as they not conceiving after repeated unsuccessful attempts. attended gynecology department our institute teaching hospital. review board hospital approved study. average duration getting pregnant 2 years these participants. for 6 month from January 2022 June 2022. Results: Most women reported that previously had no child. However, there were 14% them one child already. mean state anxiety participants came out be 44 SD 9.5. And trait 41 7.1. Both features found higher case sub fertile undergoing fertility treatment. level stress shown high marital issues compare social personal stress. educational statistically linked participant’s level. financial condition age female. Conclusion: treatments being successful conceive suffers stress, depression like issues. societal pressure low some factors elevates If proper professional guidance given it can help cope issue free.
